The "DLT Decision Tree" technical report was governed under the BCI Emerging Technology Division, which I led as CTO.
You can find it here:
It describes a decision framework for when DLT should be used, and recommends the type of D
I am deeply honoured to have represented the Blockchain & Climate Institute as CTO and Deputy Head of Delegation at COP29 Azerbaijan in Baku. Our delegation worked hard to advance discussions on integrating emerging digital technologies for climate action — highlighting their immense potential, associated risks, and strategies to mitigate the risks effectively.
A heartfelt thank you to all the delegates, speakers, pavilions, and organisations from around the world who hosted, supported, and participated in our events, and for welcoming us to their events also. Your dedication made this year’s conference both productive and inspiring.
Querying multiple AI apps is a pain, so I spent the weekend vibe coding a solution (with a little help from GPT-4o, squeezed in between domestic errands). I just dropped the first PoC of AI Supermarket: an app that queries multiple AI models in parallel. Users can compare responses side by side and pick the best ones to continue the conversation with.
Coming soon: a “continue convo” feature, and a launch at www.ai-supermarket.net (for testing purposes only), plus a slicker way to manage keys. The long-term vision? To generate an “AI Rank”, inspired by Google’s original PageRank. By analyzing which responses users prefer and engage with, we can start routing prompts to the most effective models automatically, or at least give users the tools to decide for themselves. Think: Google Search, but for AI models.
I had the privilege of representing the Blockchain & Climate Institute, at the Climate Investment Summit hosted by the World Climate Foundation at the London Stock Exchange.
This flagship event as part of London Climate Action Week, was an opportunity to connect with climate experts, technologists, entrepreneurs and investors across the private, public and 3rd sector, helping to pave the path towards COP29 Azerbaijan (“The Finance COP”).
I had the privilege of representing the Blockchain & Climate Institute at the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Artificial Intelligence at the UK Houses of Parliament, for an Evidence Session focusing on “AI & Sustainability: Smart Cities & Clean Technologies”.
The discussion was insightful, covering the potential of 5G and AI to enhance energy efficiency, streamline transportation management, and improve waste management and water conservation. Also explored was the impact on air quality, urban planning, and disaster resilience. Key topics included the necessary policy incentives, privacy safeguards, and the public support required for these technologies to succeed.
I am deeply honoured to have represented the Blockchain & Climate Institute as Deputy Director of Research and Deputy Head of Delegation at COP29 Azerbaijan in Baku this year.
At COP28 UAE the work we did at Blockchain & Climate Institute is contributing to a just transition, climate mitigation and adaptation. Thank you for the opportunity to serve.
